Day-1 Cochin-Munnar

Arrival at Kochi Airport / Railway Station – Proceed to Munnar, the beginning of 9 happy days in Kerala! En route, halt for a while and take your time to enjoy the beautiful Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Later check into your Hotel –Spend the rest of the day harmonizing with the pleasant surroundings (Tea Museum & shopping). Stay overnight at Munnar.

Day-2 Munnar

Munnar tourEnjoy a full day in Munnar to discover this royal hill station at your own pace. First get to know Munnar’s prime assets with visits to beauty-spots like Rajamalai (habitat of endangered ‘Nilgiri Tahr’). Afterwards, a short drive brings you to the Mattupetty Reservoir, a serene spot where you can avail of the boating facility… Then, to Echo-Point and, further to Kundala Dam. By late evening, return to your hotel for overnight stay at Munnar.

Day-3 Munnar- Thekkady

Morning, after breakfast, proceed to Thekkady, another lovely landscape. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Soon, set out for sightseeing. Experience the serenity of the fresh mountain air and mist-coated hills.  Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary & take an optional boat cruise in the Periyar Lake with glimpses of a variety of wild species – Elephant, Deer, etc.

Optional Visit to Spice Plantation & Elephant Ride (Own Cost).

Spend the evening for leisure and watch Kathakali, Kalarippayattu – “Kerala’s indigenous martial arts form”, and refresh yourself with an Ayurveda Massage (Own cost). Overnight Stay at hotel.

Day-4 Thekkady-Alleppey

Alleppey HouseboatAfter breakfast, check out from Hotel and drive down to Alappuzha. On arrival at Alappuzha, check-in to a traditional Kerala Houseboat. Just relax in the floating wonder and luxuriate yourself – immersing in the sprouting backwaters – watch the virtual haven studded with greenish paddy fields and palms, with close-ups of Kerala’s village lifestyle; where daily life continues unaltered as it has for centuries. Continue your trip, accompanied by delicious Kerala cuisine. Overnight stay in Houseboat.

Day-5 Alleppey-Kanyakumari

Vivekananda RockMorning check out from houseboat and drive to Kanyakumari, you will be greeted with spellbinding views of ‘Vivekananda Rock’ and ‘Thiruvalluvar Statue’ (two most notable landmarks here) from the seashore. Take a boat and visit the landmarks… These rocks, with an air of holiness and chill of waves sprinkling all over, totally uplift the self. Kanyakumari’s unique geographical location enables both sunset & sunrise views at the same beach. So plan accordingly to observe the phenomenon. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.

Day-6 Kanyakumari-Kovalam

kovalam-beach familyAfter breakfast proceed to one of the finest beach havens in the world – Kovalam. Check in to your hotel / resort at Kovalam on arrival and get ready for a beach day. Kovalam is blessed with three lovely crescent-shaped seashores, namely ‘Samudra Beach’ (which is the main beach), ‘Howah Beach’ and ‘Lighthouse Beach’. Spent the entire day engaged in various beach activities – sunbathing, swimming, enjoying the big splashes in the rejuvenating sea breeze… After a satisfying beach stint, return to your hotel / resort for overnight stay.

Day-7 Kovalam-Trivandrum

padmanabhaswami-templeAfter breakfast proceeds for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Thiruvananthapuram is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Dive back & overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day-8 Trivandrum-Cochin

Cherai BeachMorning drive to Cochin & check in to hotel. After refreshing yourself, head out to explore the city of Kochi. Visit its priceless monuments viz., the Jewish Synagogue and Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. Drive to the nearby Fort Kochi – get the glimpses of its colonial past at the medieval Churches, Basilica & Anglo-Indian mansions. View the antique Chinese fishing nets, that dot the harbor – understand the depth of Kochi’s cultural legacy. After sight seen drive back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day-9 Cochin Drop

Departure HolidaysMorning transfer from your Resort to the Airport / Railway Station at Kochi. Then it’s departure with everlasting memory of nine sweet days.
